Remember this dreaded day?
Well this is now the third time hair has been "misplaced" from this girls head.
Look closely and you'll be able to see what I'm talkin about.
Nobody even knows what happened.
Couldn't even find the evidence.
Atleast this time we can somewhat conceal it.

What the....

2 days in a row we saw this up in the sky. Going along the shore for all to see at the beaches on a lovely warm weekend. Super bowl weekend infact. Don't get me wrong we constantly see ads up in the sky being pulled by a plane, but Cheetahs gentleman club???? being advertised at the beach???? Where it's mostly families???? My girls LOVE it when the signs go by. It's kind of a big deal to them. But how the heck do you explain that one?

It just threw me off.

Had a "date night" with this girl this evening. After gymnastics we spent some time together before going home. It's EXTREMELY rare for me to have time with just her. It was great. She said so herself. Told me how she had such a fun day today but the best part of all was that moment of just her and I spending time together on our "date".
And then when just her and I were laying in her bed at bedtime talking about the wonderful day we had. She thanked me.
"Thank you mommy for such a great day".
I don't ever want her to grow up.

Thank you Ady for today.

The unknown...

We are in the beginnings of big changes again. The unknown is right around the corner for us. About to move, not sure where, different possibilities but nothing in stone. I've learned over the years to "roll with it". I think I'm getting pretty dang good at it. But still I'm stressed to the max these days. At the same time at the end of the days I'm always so very grateful for the life I've been blessed with. I wouldn't change my little life for anybody's. NEVER!! I'm so very happy being me, mostly because being me, means being their mom. And there is nothing in this world that could ever come close to making me as happy, proud, grateful and blessed as them.

Fun times with G & P...

January is almost over and I'm so sad. I've been extremely spoiled this month. My parents bought a second home in Palm Springs back in October and they were here for almost the whole month of January. They just recently left to go home to freezing cold Southern Alberta this weekend. We already miss them.
The girls had such a great time going and spending EVERY weekend with Grandma and Papa, swimming, going to Disneyland, quading with Papa, painting with Grandma, making new friends in primary, and just spending as much time with their grandparents as possible.
My mom just sent me a tonne of pictures from the past few weeks spent with the girls so get ready for yet again another serious overload.

Yesterday my baby turned 6 years old. I can't believe how old she is and how proud I am to be her mommy. She is such a kind hearted, intelligent, amazing little girl and I am so blessed to have her in my life.

wicked and such...

I know I am so far behind on this blog of mine. I found my camera. Well actually the little 3 year old who hid it found it. Now i just need to find my cord to upload all my photos. (don't really have anyone to blame for that one.)
I have so much to post from Christmas. We had an amazing time. Santa came and was very good to us. The girls can't put down their american girl dolls. We've had so much fun with family that has all come down to see us. My parents recently bought a place only 2 hours away so now we get to see them all the time. The girls are in heaven. As am I seeing how Papa and Grandma want them as many weekends as possible.
This past week my mom and I went up to LA to the Pantages Theatre and were able to see..


I had NO idea just how much I would love it. I already want to plan another trip to see it again. Only next time I HAVE TO take Adalyn. Glinda is right up her ally.

Kindergarten love..

The other day the girls and I were driving in the car for breakfast. On our way CeCe was teasing Ady and started this conversation.

CeCe: Ady you yike boys, you yike boys.

Ady: No I don't. I only like Jordan

Mom: (remembering how a few days earlier she had told me she liked a boy in her class named Jordan) Is Jordan the boy you told me about before?

Ady: Yes

Mom: What does Jordan look like? What color is his hair:

Ady: Brown

Mom: What color are his eyes?

Ady: I don't know mom. I will tell you today after school
But I do remember one thing, he has a squeaky voice,

Mom: A squeaky voice??

Ady: (with as much attitude as possible) I know, tell me about it!

Hello Fall...

Summer is almost over.
I'm a tad bit sad to say good bye.
Then again Fall is my FAVORITE time of year.
Ads starts kindergarten next week. Such a big girl.
CeCe got her own back pack to be like her big sis.
She's sad she's stuck at home with me one more year.
I'm not ready to let go of her. Not yet.
We had an amazing summer.
Had an amazing time with family and cousins and friends.
I wish we got to see them more often.
I have the cutest nephews.
The girls get a new Auntie next week.
Uncle DJ is biting the bullet.
So excited for him and Jess.
Life is going good these days.

Remember when....

this darling little girl didn't have a whole lotta when it came to a beautiful head of hair? Partly myself to blame, she was blessed with her mother's fine thin baby hair and then there was that incident back in October. That dreaded day her sister found a pair of scissors. Oh that was a sad day.
Who knew that only a few months later I would be getting stopped almost daily to be asked where I get my daughters hair cut. Even men stop and comment on her cute little 'do. If only I knew back then what I know now.....

Timmy Curran...

The other night Cameron and I went and saw Timmy Curran, a pro-surfer/musician, play a small concert at Lou's Records in Leucadia. So cool...just us and 50-100 other people standing outside right on the 101, cars honking, the train going by.... by far the coolest concert I've ever been to. And his music is amazing!

Tonight we spent yet another evening searching for seashells and pretty rocks.

Last week the girls and I were able to take a trip up to Utah and see most of our favorite people.  We all had a great time spending time with both grandmas, grandpa, aunties and uncles, our favorite Watt's family and most importantly cousins.   My mom and I had a great time speading some post-mother's day time together. We FINALLY got to meet cousin Cohen who is so stinkin cute and looks just like his mommy.  I really do have the cutest nephews in the world, all 4 of em.   Now if only we could see them all SOOO much more.

Thank goodness for phones....

Ok this is an old picture but I HAD to post it. Why?? Because even though it's not at all a good picture, it's a perfect picture of what I deal with EVERY day.  

I'm loosing my mind...

I think it's gone, I really do.  In all reality it MAY be in my car, or in the garage, or on the side of the street somewhere.  I do not know.  What I do know is who had it last, and she's 2.  

Like I said...I'm loosing my mind.  

However we have been having a blast these days filled with tea party's, block parties, nail painting parties, movie parties, and any other imaginable kind of party.  Everything is turned into a party. 

 Since we have moved into our "girl house" we have made some great new friends.  And Ady now being 5 has gained quite the independence along with her fellow partner in crime, a fellow 5 year old who we like to call Tea.  The two of them run this neighborhood and turn everything into a party. 

CeCe on the other hand is always not far behind usually riding on her skateboard (her own unique way) and if anyone comes close they get a nice point of the finger and a very angry 2 year old yelling

 "NO DeDe gateboard!  GET OFF! "

No this one isn't from the beach, obviously.  But it was this evening after the girls played it up for hours with all their new friends in our little community.  Messy face and all...still so cute.

who I will refer to as "boyfriend" (aka my baby daddy), and as I walked by Ady after just finishing getting dressed I hear...

Ady comes home every day from school with numerous pages of art that she had made that day.  Most consist of rainbows, flowers, suns, the usual little girl drawings.  Tonight as I was cleaning through all the papers, hanging most on our "wall of art", I found this one.

so as you can tell my camera has taken a bit of a break for the past couple months... from me.  This little girl, on the other hand, has gotten plenty of use out of it whenever she has been able to get her hands on it.  I'm not kidding, I have erased well over a 100 pics all looking similar to this....

I don't know why, maybe cuz ALL kids do this, but I find these pictures hilarious!!!

after midnight ramblings....

I know that when it comes to writing words I tend to be a bit of a private person.  There's something scary but also weirdly profound about writing your thoughts for all to see and read.  I really have to dig deep to discover what it is that defines me in words and pictures.  Becoming a mom I have found myself defined by my children, but recently have found myself rediscovering who I am.  What I like to do, what my thoughts and dreams are.  I find myself feeling very thankful lately.  Thankful for SOO many things. 

1.  Family.  I don't know how I could survive without them.

2.  Girlfriends.  I think I may be one of the luckiest people in the world to be surrounded by such amazing friends.  Old, new and even newly rekindled friendships.  I seriously have the best group of girlfriends in the world.

3.  Sunny California weather.  Especially this winter hearing of snow storm after snow storm where some of y'all live.  

4.  Kate Nash.  Love her upbeat fun music that a few have turned into my theme songs these days.

5.  Felt.  I have been having way too much fun these days making fun felt creations for my girlies.

6.  The color purple.  It's my new fav.  Our walls are being covered with it.

7.  My fabric collection.  Is it weird that I really do enjoy looking at it regularily imagining of what it will all one day become. 

8.  Our Elmo potty seat.  It's finally being used.  Wohoo for CeCe.  

 9. My hat collection.  Without it I would actually have to do my hair.  

10. My memory foam mattress combined with my 1200thread count sheets.  How did I ever have good sleeps before?  LOOOOOOVE my bed!

11. Craigslist.  I've been getting a tad bit carried away with finding deals and future projects for our new house.  12.  And ofcourse how could I write a whole post without mentioning the 2 things I am mostly thankful for.  These 2 beautiful little stinkers...love, love, love them!!

So I know I'm a whole month behind but my new year's resolution is to get my butt back into gear with updating this little blog, so this is just a little teaser to start you with.  As soon as I learn how to work this new computer of mine and uploading pictures I will be back with avengence....

We are in the middle, or the beginnings I should say, with moving all over again.  Crazy I know!!! That's my life these days.  CRAZY!!!!!  Found a new home, so excited.  It's our official "girl house" as Ady says.  She believes it's going to be nothing but pink.  Not so sure how I feel about that...

Life is crazy, but in the craziness you can always find happiness, especially in the little things.
